While we are just as excited as you are to be back at it, we’ll be taking some extra precautions to protect our staff and our patients. Things in the office will work a little differently for a while.
Dr. Hodges and our staff have been working hard throughout the lockdown. From virtual checkups to mailing rubber bands to preparing for a safe reopening, we’ve been hard at work preparing to see our patients very soon! We’ve been very fortunate to have the opportunity to see patients virtually for regular appointments throughout this time. Moving forward, we will continue to utilize this technology to address issues on the fly, and we will plan your virtual and in-person appointments accordingly.
When we reopen for regularly scheduled appointments, please understand that we will continue to follow guidelines for preventing the spread of any infectious disease, as outlined by the standards set by the CDC, American Association of Orthodontists, and other local professional organizations. Your safety is paramount to us– always.
Here are some of the changes you can expect when you arrive:
We must limit the number of people we have in the office at a time. Please understand that things may move a bit slower at first. We will work hard to see you as soon as we can, but we are limited on how many people we can see and which procedures are done at which time. We ask for your patience as we navigate these changes together.
Before Your Appointment
Please bring a mask or mouth covering 😷
Due to state mandate, no one is allowed in our office without a mask or mouth covering.
When you arrive
When you get to the office, you will notice signs that will direct you to scan a QR code to check-in. Take a picture of the QR code or enter the short web link, and complete your check-in wellness survey. This short survey is REQUIRED to complete before you enter our office.
If you’d rather do this ahead of time, you may go to https://cvdsafe.com/hodges and complete the survey. If you complete the survey ahead of time, please text “HERE” when you arrive at our office.
Next, one of our awesome team members will text you when we are ready for you to come to the building entrance. We will check your temperature before you come inside.
Patients should enter the office alone. We ask that at this time, parents and siblings wait in the car. If the patient is a minor, one person is allowed to come in with them, but if your child is totally comfortable hanging out with us, we would really all prefer that they come in alone.
Each patient must wash their hands and sanitize well before they are seen.
After Your Appointment
Our team will reach out via phone or text to schedule your next appointment.
Parents: We will be happy to call or text you after your child’s appointment to fill you in on progress and next steps. If you have any specific concerns you’d like us to address during the appointment, please feel free to contact us prior to their appointment or initiate a Virtual Checkup.
We will continue to follow the recommendations of the AAO and our state and professional associations. These procedures are subject to change as we get new information. Please check back for updates or feel free to contact us with any questions.
We can’t wait to see your smiling faces back in the office again!
